Resource Conservation

District policy mandates that everyone has a responsibility to use consumable resources and energy wisely.

As a part of resource conservation, all facilities practice recycling.  Some schools incorporate recycling and resource conservation as a part of their leadership programs.

Waste management has become much more user friendly with “commingled” recycling. Red recycle bins are reserved for glass only, all colors.  Blue recycle bins or roll carts are for all other commingled items.  Click here to view the Redmond School Recyling Flyer to learn what types of items are acceptable for recycling and which ones are contaminants.

Staff can request copies of the “Recycle Program Flyer” by contacting the Facilities Department Administrative Assistant at 541-923-8268 or by clicking here.
